Silent Night

A Shivering Thrill

Hey guys! How are you today? I hope you guys are doing fine and well, here's another Halloween post for you guys! So, I don't know about you, but I have definitely been catching up on my favorite Halloween movies. Now, there are some movies I'd like to share with you guys and you should totally check them out! Lets get started!
Now, the first one I'd like to share with you is, of course, Goosebumps! Goosebumps used to, literally, give me goosebumps and scare me. As a kid, although the shows and movies scared me, I looked forward to watching it! Goosebumps is on Netflix so go check it out! (Warning: Graphics are very cheesy.)
Harry Potter will ALWAYS be an all-time favorite movie. Not just to watch on holidays but to watch any time! I've loved all the movies and will always watch the movies during Halloween. If you haven't already seen any of the Harry Potter movies, you're missing out!
This movie is my favorite for Halloween. I used to be so incredibly obsessed with this movie. I remember falling in love with this movie the first time I watched it. It has a pretty sweet story to it and it is appropriate for all ages. It is not scary at all, and you will love it, trust me. Go watch it!
Now, the next movies are scary, so beware. The Uninvited is such an amazing mystery movie and has a great twist towards the end. I personally did not feel like this movie was scary, but to a few of my friends that have seen it said it was. I would categorize it as a mystery/ thriller. So if you're into those genres, then definitely check this movie out!
This movie is for you game-loving people. When I first watched Stay Alive, it gave me nightmares, I didn't want to play any kind of games for a while, and much less even dare look at the mirror. This is a horror/thriller movie so if you get scared easily, this movie is definitely not for you. But if you don't mind the spine-chillin thrills, then by all means, go watch!

Salem's Lot will give you one freaky thrill, I can tell you that right now. If you did not recognize from the movie title, it is the works of the amazing and phenomenal Stephen King. The story is about a young man coming back to his home town that forever scared him. One night he had to live through a horrible nightmare and is back to confront his fear. I wont give out too much information, just that it includes scary vampire images, gruesome scenes, and language. It is rated "R." This movie is pretty long, I believe it is roughly around three hours, more or less. But if you really love horror movies, definitely check this movie out!
And last but not least, Dead Silence. Obviously by the creepy picture, it is a horror movie rated "R" and will definitely give you a thrill. Id categorize this movie as a thriller/horror movie. It was just an marvelous movie and the story line was just magnificent. Definitely gave me nightmares but it was totally worth it!

I hope you've all enjoyed this post and hopefully you go check out some of these movies. Let me know what you think of them if you do! Tell me on twitter or Instagram! ( @johanazel) I hope you all have a great rest of the day!

DIY Halloween ideas

Time for arts and crafts!

Hey lovelies! How is everyone's month of October so far? Anything exciting? I know yesterday was October the Third...ring a bell for you Mean Girl fans out there?

Haha, sorry I just had to include that in here! But anyways! Lets jump right into what this post is all about: Cute DIY ideas for Halloween. Usually, I personally think that the simpler the idea, the better. So for instance, lets say you want to add a Halloween vibe to your kitchen but don't want to spend money. What can you do? I've got an idea! So, you'll need a sharpie and some oranges. Simply draw on a little face on your oranges and decorate them in a presentable way that will be noticed by guest. It is honestly such a simple and quick DIY and takes less than five minutes. It adds a cute vibe to your kitchen and all you did was simply decorate your oranges!
Another quick and simple DIY would be a Kleenex box of popcorn. I know, it sounds strange but its really quick and easy to do! So, obviously, what you need is an empty Kleenex box, decorating utensils, glue, paint, scissors, zip blog bag and construction paper. Now, the way you decorate your tissue box is really up to you. The easiest "monster" that I feel is easy to make would have to be Frankenstein. First, start off by cutting off the top portion of the Kleenex box. Now, this step is optional, you can start off by painting the inside of your box with paint and let it dry or just skip this step and go on to the next. The reason why I feel like you should add plastic to your box is that so when you're eating out of this Kleenex box you wont get disgusted by the grease marks of the popcorn on the inside cardboard of the Kleenex box. Its just to keep it looking nice and polished. Then, cut the sides of your sip blog bag and you should have to pieces. Cut off the "zip" part and clue the plastic to the walls of the inside of your Kleenex box. Grab another zip blog bag and do the same thing to the other two sides of the inside of the Kleenex box. Once that is done, start decorating the outside of your box! You can paint it, cut out shapes of your construction paper and glue it on, add glitter, and just anything to make your box have a Halloween vibe to it! Next, just add popcorn in the Kleenex box and you're done!
Next DIY idea is a jar full of candy. This is beyond self explanatory. Just simply find a jar with or with out the lid, fill it up with candy, and bam you're done! Obviously, if you'd like to paint the jar, hmm let's say black, and add a cool logo to it like "elixir" or something like that, go for it! Just have fun with decorating the jar to your liking.
Last DIY is Goodie cups! What you will need is some plastic cups, paint, glue, scissors, and colorful pipe cleaners for arts and craft. So first start off by painting the outside and inside of your cups any color. Let it completely dry. Then, with your scissors or a hole punches, cup to holes at the side of the cup towards the top of the cup. Like, probable half and inch away from the top of the cup. Next, cut out shapes and paste them to the cup and decorate to your liking. Finally, Tie the pipe cleaners to the side of the cup and you're done! You can fill these cups up with candy and pass it out to your guests and what not. It is very cute and very easy to make!
